Not even close. Brand new, they are $180 guitars. So you arelooking at half that used. The overseas Fender stuff does notretain value like American or vintage.

F-15, f-25,f-35,f-45,f55-12,f-65,f-75,f80-12,f-85,f-95,f-115. In 1972 the F-35 rrp was $99.50 and by 1980 $235.00. In 1975 the specification of the F-35 was modified to include a tortoise shell binding & marquetry stripe on the back.If yours does not have this it is probably pre 1975.My research suggests that the F-series were made by the Moridaira Guitar Company in Japan.

I disagree with the previous answer. As a player and collector Ihave to say that the

value of these guitars is raising quickly, especially the solidrosewood and solid spruce models as there were not many produced(harder to find as time goes by). These guitars were made by Fenderin Japan. They were built to last and are in my opinion as good asany other big name-brand

rosewood guitar. I have one from the late 70's F-75's. Thisalmost 40 year old guitar is still structurally sound, it is wellaged and plays phenomenal even when compared to more expensiveguitars. The value of the F-75 model from the 70's should be valuedat around $800 to $1100+ depending on condition. Here is 5 pointsas to why: 1. Hand built 2. Solid Rosewood is still one of the bestmaterials to build guitars with. 3. Well aged, the wood isstabilized and if it hasn't cracked by now it probably never will.4. Looks as good as any other $2000-$5000 guitar. 5. You can seesome Country Western Legends still playing them on stage as theysound amazing and look as good as the high dollar competitionmodels.

These models are becoming highly collectible.
